City Reschedules August 9 Zoning Public Hearing

The City of Wilmer has rescheduled the planned Zoning Public Hearing regarding rezoning initiatives for Sunridge Business Park properties including a tract recently purchased from Mayor Don Hudson.
A protest letter was filed with the city on July 30 (revised August 3 - click here to view) citing that the required periods for public notice had not been met for the tract owned by Mayor Hudson. Additionally, the "Mitchell" property adjacent to and North of Mayor Hudson's tract was also under consideration for rezoning but does not lie within the city limits. Wilmer Public Citizen has been informed that an annexation is planned for this property and that the Public Hearing will be rescheduled for August 28, 2007.
