Our Mayor at July 17 Council Meeting

We couldn't decide which stock photo described our mayor's conduct better at the July 17 City Council meeting, so we offer our readers a choice.

You may not have recognized Benito Mussolini (above), but these guys need no introduction. And here they are.

There is so much to comment about, I don't know where to begin....If you are taking a vote, I would like to vote for Hitler. The comparisons to Hudson are uncanny. Hitler (Hudson)lied to the people to get elected, then after taking office he Hitler(Hudson) disarmed the people (metaphorically speaking), then Hitler (Hudson) ruled them with an iron fist. I sure will be watching as I pass any of Wilmer's officials and make sure that I hold up my hand and give the Hale Hitler sign. As time goes on maybe more and more residence will join in.
To the person who questions why anyone would keep bringing up the past, it must be said that if we forget the past our future is doomed. Is Wilmer’s future doomed? Yes, there are so many of Hudson’s supporters that want the rest of us to forget the past so that they may control the future……We might be able to forget the past if it didn’t keep happening over and over, just different scenarios. So its kind of hard to trust someone willing to break the law to cover up his own families run ins with the law.
I found your story regarding the Hudson granddaughters’ to be quit enlightening, but sorry this scenario has been played out in the past. Not to the extent of all the intrigue and corruptness that you have laid out. (you might check the ages of these girls, they have all reached the age of legal and have for sometime know. I think the youngest turned 17, in November of 2005 and she would have been 18 in November of 06) Either way she was of legal age and the names need to be printed for all to read. But back in 03’ another Wilmer officer had the misfortune of pulling over a car, whose occupant was a Hudson granddaughter. Now, she was not driving, but the car did not have proper registration and had violated other traffic laws. This granddaughter called Hudson and he and his crazy wife showed up immediately. I wont go into all of the details of that stop, but Diane screamed at the officer, “do you know who my husband is”. When the officer replied that he did not, she became highly irate and continued to scream, “He is a City Council Member and I will have your job.” With that the officer instructed both her and Hudson to go back to their vehicle, so that he could continue to this vehicle and make sure for his safety that the occupants were no threat. Needless to say, this officer was advised that he leave Wilmer P.D. as soon as possible. Hudson was out after his job and he meant to get it. One of the dispatchers wrote a letter, to the then acting chief, explaining how much she feared for that officers welfare and how he (Hudson) and Diane had put him at risk. Well, before the Chief could read this letter, Wells, took it from his box and ran straight to Hudson’s house with it. Back stabbing his fellow officers and now he is the Chief. WOW. Remember, this is not the first or last time that the Hudson’s girls have
been in trouble with the police. One daughter was arrested for family violence---covered up….
Granddaughter charged with family violence---covered up---
Granddaughter arrested for 4 wheeler ring ---- covered up

If this were an apple tree depicting the Hudson family, there would be rotten apples all over Wilmer.

This time it sounds like Hudson has gone to far. If he wanted his granddaughters tested, then he and his wife should have paid for it from the money they got from Rader not use public money or resources to prove a point.
Hagen should be ashamed of herself for the way that she voted on the liquor. NO SURPRISES… She sure took a play out of Hudson’s flexible rulebook. She is a hypocrite. She rushed from the church just so she could vote on this item. When asked how she could vote for it, she stated that is what the people wanted! Hell, Hudson has been saying that for years. Get a new lie Hagen. Most of the people that voted for you did so because you PROMISED that you were against the liquor. LIE LIE LIE

That person that wrote about what a great start this council is having and that we should not look at the negative, must have lost his mind. Or was he promised a job, for his support? Didn’t get it yet, did you? You appear to think that it is OK for Hudson to break any law that he wants as long as he sends out post cards for us to fill out. Or you think that one drug bust in Wilmer justifies all the other ones that are operating as I type this. You must think that it is OK for Hudson not to allow a Snow cone business to open legally, because we already have illegal stores run out of houses all over Wilmer. They are selling beer and food, with no health permits nor with a liquor license. Then you close down someone wanting to sell snow cones in Wilmer, but you can sell beer and food from your home to the neighborhood kids. We must be missing something here? And lets remember that we all hope that this illegal business is asking for I.D. from anyone that buys beer from them. Just quoting Wilmer’s newly elected councilmember Hagen. Stupid is as stupid does, mam.
I am sure most people in Wilmer would be more interested in loud music control, speeding cars stopped, solved break ins and even some code enforcement, that would be good public funds wells spent. Even that person who wrote to not bring up the past, might agree that spending money on family members to keep them out of trouble is a waste of taxpayers dollars.

The reason I chose Benito Mussolini's picture for this post was based on how the people reacted at the demise of his power. So much for hangin' around for the funeral.

Reply to the Editor: They didn't want to drag it out! If the rest of you don't know your history, my reply to the Editor won't mean anything to you.

Has anyone else noticed that City Hall is on "lockdown"? ALL the interior doors are closed and locked. Other employees must wait in the lobby to be escorted to the office of whomever they are there to see.

City Hall on "lockdown" is something new? Gee, it's always been that way when I walk in the front door. Guess somebody must be getting paranoid. Maybe they'll learn to lock the back door too.

HI THERE, I see your still unemployed, it must be boreing to have nothing to do all day but read this blog. Perhaps you can get a job at McDonalds. All you have to remember is to say "would you like fries wity that". However, they cannot let you near the cash register just in case Rader comes by. You know how it is with discounts and everthing.
