Sunday night (March 16) around 8:30PM, three men armed with a pistol and a shotgun robbed the Red Dog Saloon on North Goode Road and the patons present at the time.
Wilmer PD and Dallas Sheriffs Office (DSO) responded to the 911 call immediately, pursuing the fleeing suspects from the parking lot of the Red Dog. One of the suspects jumped or was thrown from the back of he pickup truck. Evidently, the suspect's foot was caught and he was dragged for some distance. Pursuit by Wilmer units continued north to approximately I45 and Wintergreen, where the suspects were arrested at gunpoint by Wilmer PD and Hutchins PD officers.
DSO officers secured the crime scene and interrogated witnesses while Wilmer Fire rescue tended to the injured suspect. His condition is unknown, although some officers at the scene expressed doubt he would survive. Other than the injured suspect, no other injuries were reported by police officers or patrons.
All three suspects were placed in custody by DSO officers and detained at Dallas County facilities, charged with aggravated robbery. The driver of the vehicle will be charged with felony evading by the Wilmer PD.
